Care instructions
Do not heat
Treat your boards the same you would any other plastic chopping board. Do not place near direct heat or flame, or place hot frying pans or pots on top, otherwise the plastic will melt.
How to wash
We suggest hand washing your boards to prolong their life. Wash in hot soapy water to clean and disinfect.
Our chopping boards can be cleaned in the dishwasher on a low-steam setting, but it degrades plastic quicker and can cause colours to look washed out. So we recommend hand washing when possible!
Deep clean
Over time, chopping board will get cuts and grooves that can be a spot for grime and bacteria to grow. We recommend doing a deep clean on your boards (and any other chopping boards you have at home), once a fortnight.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of table salt over your board. Use a lemon sliced in half to scrub the powder into the board, squeezing the lemon as you go to create a paste. Allow to sit for 2-3 minutes and then wash clean and dry ready for it’s next use.
* This method also works for stains like turmeric and beetroot!
